DRITA – Dayton Region Israel Trade Alliance

The mission of the Dayton Region Israel Trade Alliance (DRITA) is to identify opportunities and promote business development activities between Israeli and Dayton Region technology-based companies.

The DRITA office was established in Israel in April 2010 as part of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Dayton Region represented by the City of Dayton, Montgomery County and the Dayton Development Coalition, as well as the Municipality of Haifa, Israel.

The DRITA has conducted a number of successful trade missions since 2010, with the most recent mission in February 2020. The DRITA team met with organizations for the purpose of connecting Israel resources with Dayton Region resources, business outreach and attraction, Sister City outreach, and the OurCrowd conference.  As a result of the success of this recent mission, the DRITA is currently working with multiple companies to establish business activities and operations in the Dayton Region.

The past three years the DRITA has been instrumental in creating valuable economic development relationships in Israel. The program has been building and developing new innovative ways to create awareness around the Dayton Region’s deep talent pool, academic and research engines, venture capitals and of course our excellent quality of life here in the Dayton Region.

Today, as businesses struggle with shortages of highly skilled personnel, the value of shared solutions and effective collaboration is greater than ever. Companies need every tool available to boost productivity and create that critical and competitive edge. Collaborations, partnerships and JV’s can assist with obtaining the essential tools necessary to accomplish this goal.

The DRITA partners are very pleased that the Governor has entered into a mutually beneficial trade agreement between the State of Ohio and the State of Israel. Given the areas of excellence that exist throughout Ohio, there are few other states that are positioned as well as Ohio to benefit from the advancement of technology research, development and joint ventures lead to job creation.
